Administrative Groups

Holy Cross has as its purpose the expansion of God's kingdom in the hearts of congregation members and to all people throughout the world. The organization of Holy Cross is structured to carry out this important work. God has chosen His people to accomplish His work. "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light."

Holy Cross has annually-elected officers: a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer. Along with these officers, other people are elected to the following boards and committees.

The Board of Elders is entrusted with the task of overseeing the spiritual welfare of the pastors and members. They also oversee the following committees:

The Membership Development Board concerns itself with outreach to non-members and "in-reach" to members, helping them all to grow in their relationship with Holy Cross. They also oversee the following subcommittees:

The Board of Trustees maintains and repairs all church property.

The Board of Stewardship and Finance develops and promotes the Biblical principle of the management of our time, talent, and money, representing a faith response to God's love.

The School Board supervises the entire educational program of our Christian Day School.

The Endowment Fund Committee plans for the long-range financial stability of the congregation by raising permanent funds for the church.

The Nominating Committee makes recommendations for the voters to consider for elected positions for the following year.

The Long-Range Planning Committee is charged with helping set the direction of Holy Cross for the next 5 to 10 years.

These boards and committees work according to the direction of the voters and the Church Council which coordinates and integrates all of the work at Holy Cross Church and School. The Church Council is comprised of the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and the chairperson and secretary of each of the administrative boards. Holy Cross operates on a fiscal year that begins in August.
