Jesus said, "If you hold to my teachings, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Bible
studies help us to know the truth and to hold to Christ's teachings. They also serve as a
way for people to get to know one another and share their Christian faith and life.
Our class schedules are:
- Sunday Adult Forum
The Word of God causes participants to grow in faith and in the knowledge of
Jesus Christ. We meet in the gymnasium every Sunday at 9:30 am, September
through early June.
- Sunday Youth Forum
Weekly Bible class for youth in grades 9-12. Meets in the Associate Pastor's office at
9:30 am, September through early June.
- Wednesday Morning Bible Class
The purpose is to study the Word of God so that growth in faith will take place. Meets in
the cafeteria every Wednesday from 10:15-11:15 am.
- Adult Information Class
Study the basic doctrines of the Lutheran Church in a 10-week course taught by both
pastors. This class is offered twice during the year, once in the Fall and once in the
Spring, and usually meets on Mondays at 7:30 pm.
- Hannah Bible Study
Some of the women of the congregation gather to open their Bibles and share their faith.
Meets in the homes of various members on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.
- Couples' Bible Study
Meets monthly the 3rd Saturday of the month in various members' homes. Involves a
combination of Bible study and fellowship.
- Men's Bible Study
Meets every Wednesday morning from 6:30-7:30 am in the Church computer room. Bible study
is enjoyed around coffee and rolls.
- Women's Bible Study
Meets every Wednesday morning at 6:30 am at Church. Various topics are discussed
throughout the year.
- Sisters in Christ
Meet in the Holy Cross Library from 6:30 - 8:00pm on the first and third
Tuesdays of the month. The Faith Lessons video series and participants guide
makes all of the wonderful stories in the Bible come to life by seeing where
they took place. Focus on the Family’s, Ray Vander Laan takes us across the
seas to where it all took place… We seasonally go
out for our fellowship dinner to an area restaurant.
- Fellowship Groups
The Ladies Aid and various Circles assist the congregation in the work of the church,
contribute to various charities, provide various services, and show Christian love and
fellowship among the members. Bible study is also an important part of these groups.
