Building Our Future on Christ
Leadership Team Installation We continue an exciting time in our
congregation. During the weeks to come, it is the privilege of some of our
fellow brothers and sisters of the faith to plan and organize our second
stewardship appeal for our relocation process here at Holy Cross. Their main
focus is to help us see how God has blessed us in so many ways. Our response to
those blessings is one of thanks. The Stewardship Emphasis will culminate with
promise cards being brought to worship on Celebration Sunday, May 20. The
program is a journey of faith for God’s people. Through this program God will
challenge you as a member of His kingdom, all in order to carry on His work here
at our church. You will be hearing a great deal more about the appeal in the
coming weeks. There will be mailings, talks, sermons and meetings. It will be
central to our church life during these weeks because our God is asking us to
consider participating.
A Leadership Team has been called to direct our stewardship appeal program. They have begun their work of recruiting members for various tasks. Many of you will be involved since the philosophy of the program is to distribute the work among a lot of people so that each of them is asked to do just a little work. We are seeking people to share in taking on a small but important part. Please consider participating to serve if you are asked. The Leadership Team was installed on Sunday, April 1st. They are:
Emphasis Directors:
- John Theiste
- Jerry Treder
Emphasis Secretary:
- Lisa Teidt
Communications Directors:
- D’Ann Halleen
- Katie Tweit
Reservation Directors:
- Judy Hahn
- Judy Meder
Commitment Coordinator:
- Tom Patten
Call News
Mr. Brian Kasten, who was extended the call to teach in our 7th grade, has
returned the call to Holy Cross, meaning that he will remain in his call at St.
Stephen in Fallbrook, CA.
He writes:
Dear Members of Holy Cross, I have spent the last several weeks in prayerful
deliberation of the two calls before me. This process is never an easy one. I
have considered my ministry at St. Stephen as well as how my family and I might
be a part of your ministry at Holy Cross. After much prayerful consideration,
the Lord has lead me to return the call to serve you at Holy Cross. I pray that
the Lord will continue to bless your ministry at Holy Cross and bring to you the
person God has chosen for this position.
In Christ’s Service, Brian K. Kasten

Please pray for him and for our school as he deliberates on God’s will for his work in God’s Kingdom.
Thank You
Thank you so much for your prayers, cards, flowers, food and
companionship during my surgery and recovery. Please continue to pray for a full
recovery over the next few months. God’s blessings on you all.
