A prayer for our confirmands:
Faithful and gracious Lord, you have granted to us the joy of seeing these youth
confess their faith in you as true God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We pray
that you would keep them faithful to you all the days of their lives. Forgive
us, and grant that we may walk daily in your way and be Christian examples for
these young people. Preserve us and make our homes your dwelling place where
your Word governs every thought, word and deed. Amen.
** No Monday Evening Worship will be held on Monday, May 26, Memorial Day. Monday Evening Worship will resume on June 2. **
Holy Cross Jr. Choir
Monday, May 26th at 10:00am
You’re invited to enjoy the voices of the Holy Cross Jr. Choir as they sing
for the Dane County Veterans’ Council Memorial Day Ceremony at the WI State
Capital.
Bethany Lutheran College Concert Choir
Monday, May 26th at 4:00pm
You’re invited to enjoy the Bethany Lutheran College Concert Choir, Handbell
Choir and String Ensemble at Grace Lutheran Church on Rosa Road. The concert
will include works of Buxtehude, Bach, Brahms, Vaughn Williams, Eleanor Daley,
Vivaldi and others. Bring a friend!
Summer Service Times
On Sunday, June 1st the service times will change. The first service will
remain the same and the second service will move up ½ an hour.
We will return to the regular service times on the Sunday after Labor Day Weekend.

Graduation Service
Thursday, May 29 at 6:30pm
Support our Kindergartners and 8th graders as they graduate and move on to the
next phase of their lives. K - 8th grade and Jr. Choir sing at this service.
Farewell Coffee Hour
Sunday, June 1st, 9:15-10:00am

Vacation Bible School

Look in upcoming bulletins to sign up your children for this year’s VBS. Parents
look for a way to be active in this year’s VBS. We are still in need of
teachers, helpers, pianist, etc. Thanks! If you have any questions, see Pastor
Tweit. The Vacation Bible School youth will sing in church on Sunday, July 13th.
Camp Indianhead
July 13-18
Campers are taken on a first come first serve basis. If you would still like
your youth to attend camp, please talk to Pastor Tweit ASAP. Camp begins on a
Sunday afternoon, and breaks at noon on Friday. Ask Pastor Tweit for a schedule
of what a day at camp is like.
Choir Website
A Holy Cross Senior Choir and Senior Bell Choir website has been set up. It
will provide information such as: when they are singing, what song they are
singing and when they are practicing. The website is:

Vehicle Donation Program
Jesus Cares Ministries will accept drivable, running vehicles with no maximum
mileage limit. Other forms of transportation or equipment (such as motorcycles,
campers, 4-wheelers, etc,) can also be donated. For your tax benefit, washed and
vacuumed vehicles bring higher value for your charitable deduction. Contact

Thank you to Pastor Bartels, Pastor Tweit and all of our fellow
parishioners, for all the kindness and blessings given to us on our 60th

Sunday mornings. There is a table with form in the entryway by the gym. Also, we
have some cash and carry (PDQ, Woodmans and Copp/Pick & Save) you may purchase
during the week as long as a secretary is available to get it out.

The Friends of Lakeside Lutheran High School would like to invite all alumni
and friends of Lakeside to participate in a special Lakeside 50th anniversary
band which will be performing in the Lake Mills Town and Country Days parade on
