Jesus Cares Volunteers
Our Jesus Cares program for the developmentally disabled is in need of
volunteers. We meet every first and third Saturday from mid-September through
May from 10 to 11:30am. Right now our biggest need is for people to sit with the
students and help them, visit with them and make them feel at home. If you would
also like to teach Bible stories, music, or crafts, we can always use volunteers
in those areas, too. If you are not sure this is for you, please feel welcome to
come and visit any class. We have a great group of students, and we would love
to have you watch and listen as they learn more about their Savior. Contact
Grace Bartel at 238-7069 / bartelfg@yahoo.com if you would like more info.
Thanks
‘We would like to thank those you gave memorials in memory of Hazel Redman.’
New Evening Bible Study
Tuesday, April 1st at 6:30pm
A new six week Bible Study will begin on Tuesday, April 1st at
6:30pm on the book of Philippians. Philippians shows that God’s grace is not a
‘pie in the sky’ theory, but it has real results in the life of a Christian
congregation. God’s grace involves the humility of Christ Jesus, who left heaven
to become a servant of mankind. We are encouraged to follow the example of our
Redeemer.
Thrivent Matching $
Thrivent matches contributions to Lutheran Schools. All current ‘Members’ of
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans can complete and submit a ‘GivingPlus Matching
Gift Form’ along with charitable gifts up to $600. Checks should be made out to
‘Holy Cross Lutheran School’ and submitted with the matching gift form. The gift
and form may be given to Jenny Patten in the school office.
