Foundation Laying Seminar
S

"Dear Members,
A
s the current President of Holy Cross Lutheran Church I want to invite you to a seminar on Sat., Nov. 15 from 9am – 2:30 pm. I know we have a lot of different activities and meetings at Holy Cross. I also know the good Lord only gives us a limited amount of time and energy each day. However, I do believe it is very important for you to attend this seminar. The purpose of this seminar is two-fold. First, to examine where we are as a congregation, and secondly, to begin to take a look at where we are going as a congregation. WELS Parish Assistance will be presenting this seminar. Afterwards, the Church Council will be deciding if we want to use this organization to help us in our future planning. We need your input and feedback! Again, I hope you can attend. The sign up sheet for this seminar is on the office window."

    In His Service,
Kevin Randall, President - Holy Cross Lutheran Church

Volunteers Needed!
O
ur English as a Second Language (ESL) staff needs more volunteers. Our most urgent need is for someone who can do child care from 10:30 am – noon on Saturday mornings while the parents study English. If you prefer working one-on-one with a student learning English, we can use volunteers for that also. You choose the time when you want to work with the student. We provide training (a one-hour class.) It’ a great opportunity to get to know someone of another culture and to talk about Christ.

Our Jesus Cares staff, which helps developmentally disabled students learn about their Savior, could use additional help on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, now through May. Contact Grace Bartel (238-7069, bartelfg@yahoo.com) if you can help out.
