I was born in Madison and was in fifth grade at Lowell School when my family moved to Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where I graduated from Wayne High School. I took an airline studies course and was in the travel profession for 10 years.

I married Bob Martin in Ft. Wayne at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. We were married by Pastor Harry Bartels (our pastor's father). We returned to Madison when an airline opening occurred at the Dane County Airport, and rejoined Holy Cross. Bob and I have two children, Kirsten and Aaron.

Many years after leaving the airlines, I was hired as a secretary at Holy Cross. Now I am busy assisting with phone calls and visitors to the church and school. I print the weekly Sunday bulletin and perform many other tasks, such as the newsletter, data entry, address changes, and ordering supplies, to name just a few.
