I’m a preschool teacher for the 3- and 4-year-old children at Holy Cross. I’ve lived in Madison since 1982, when I received my first call to teach 1st and 2nd grades at Holy Cross. I graduated from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota, with an AA in liberal arts); Waseca Technical College-UMN, with an AA in horticulture; and Mankato State University, with a bachelor of science in elementary education. My other teaching experiences include PreK3 through 4th grade, serving at Peace Lutheran in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and Eastside Lutheran and Holy Cross in Madison. I have also substituted in public schools in Monona Grove, McFarland and DeForest, Wisconsin. I hold a Wisconsin state teaching license, early childhood certificate and am WELS/ELS certified. I married Paul Karow in 1985 and we are blessed with two children: Dan, a senior in college at UW-Stevens Point, and Ellen, a junior in college at Winona State University, Minnesota. I enjoy singing, sewing, reading, walking and spending time with family and friends.
