Philosophy and Purpose of Holy Cross Lutheran School
The Lord has commanded parents in Proverbs 22:6, "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." More specifically in Ephesians 6:4 the Lord has told parents to bring up their children '"in the training and instruction of the Lord." The Lord has also commanded us in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Holy Cross Lutheran School therefore exists to assist the parents of our students in carrying out God's command to train their children in His Word.
Jesus said in Mark 10: 14 "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Holy Cross Lutheran School realizes the importance of Christian education during a child’s early years. Our traditional pre-school program exists to assist parents of four-year olds in preparing their children for entrance into kindergarten the following year.

Daily Schedule
Our PreK4 is a three-day program that meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Our PreK3 program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both morning programs begin at 8:30 a.m. Children should not arrive before 8:15 a.m. unless car pooling with older students is necessary. There should be no other early arrivals unless prior arrangements have been made with the preschool teacher. Morning classes will dismiss at 11:00 a.m. It is important that children be picked up promptly at 11:00 a.m. After School Care is available from 11:00 until 5:30.
PreK3
Children in our PreK3 program should be potty trained and able to use rest room facilities independently.
Milk
Holy Cross Lutheran School offers a milk program for all students. The pre-school children have milk with their snack during the morning milk break. There is a yearly fee for milk.
Snack
Parents take turns providing snacks for the classroom. A schedule will be set up and sent home at the end of each month for the following month to inform parents when it is their turn to bring the snack. The teacher will send a list of suggested nutritional snacks that parents should consider when bringing a snack.
Tuition and Fees
Current tuition and fee information is available from the school office.
