Holy Cross Lutheran School

To Christian Parents
Kenneth Kremer
The Top Ten

8. Be consistent. Justice is a human need. Parents need to apply the rules (God’s rules or house rules) fairly and consistently. If punishment is in order to help a child remember right from wrong, apply punishment in a consistent manner from one time to the next and from one child to the next.

9. Get help when you need it. Sometimes parenting problems become too big to handle alone. Help is available. God often answers the prayers of troubled Christian parents by providing people who have the experience and expertise to deal with some of the tougher parenting issues. In general, seek help from people and agencies you know agree with you on biblical principles.

10. Pray. Prayer is effective. We have God’s promise on that score. Jesus said that we can ask for anything in his name and it will be given to us. Anything covers a lot of parenting needs. Be persistent. God wants us to come to him often with the complete confidence that he will provide answers to our prayers.

GradeKeeper
Student IDs needed to access our online grade book, GradeKeeper, were distributed on Parent Information Night. If you were unable to attend please contact your child’s teacher for your student’s ID. GradeKeeper is available for students in gr. 3-8.

Mission Project
The mission project for the first semester of this school year is the ELS mission effort to support Christian schools in the Amazon of Peru. The money will be used to support our missionaries and teachers spreading the Gospel in the cities and rainforests of Peru. Please set aside an offering for your child to bring. This offering is collected during our weekly chapel services.

The library is open on Mondays from 10:45-11:45, Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00 and on Thursdays from 1:00-3:00. Please call the school office if you’re able to help.

School Pictures

The Union St. parking lot is to be used for drop off and pick up. When driving entering, exiting or just backing up in the parking area please keep a watchful eye out for our students. Thanks!

Standardized Testing
Testing for gr. 3-8 will take place October 1-5. Please make every effort to have your children in school during the testing period. Thanks!
