Principal’s Report – Mr. Ristow: Nothing to report.
Treasurer’s Report – Linda Houle:
The Income and Expense Report was reviewed. Rollover for next year’s budget will be about $4500.
Stewart McElroy has accepted the Treasurer position for the 2007-08 school year.
Business:
Committee Openings for 2007-08:
o Diane Krszjzaniek has accepted the Yearbook Committee position.
o Still open: Secretary, Information, Non-Academic
Parent Information Night – August 30, 2007 at 6:30 p.m.: Suzi will schedule a meeting with Mr. Ristow and possibly teachers in July to finalize the format.
Graduation corsages and books: Cindy has ordered.
Registration – August 5-6, 2007:
o Katie will do room parent sign-up sheets
o LaVon will do lunchroom registration sheets
o PTO table: Katie will man on Sunday; Suzi will man from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and Diane will man from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday.
Committee Reports:
:Fundraising – Sherri Bartels & Amy Hoel
Rummage sale is set for June 29-30
o Thoughts of Faith will take any leftover baby items.
o Bethesda House of Thrift also needs items
Fall Fundraiser – Trivia Night with Silent Auction (Diane): Tentative date: September 15, 2007. If a silent auction is tied in it will likely be a small one, e.g., basket made by each class, or something similar.
Scrip Committee – Sherri Bartels, Jenny Patten, Donna Ziegler
Jenny will draft a committee description. Tuition credit update: Ready to go on the computer, starting June 1, 2007.
Earnings so far are $5620.92. After reimbursements and payments to Partners In Christ, net profit is $4230.42.
In August, Partners In Christ selections will be laid out for the entire year.
Social Events – Katie Tweit & Kathy Thompson: Nothing to report.
New Family Welcome – Diane Krszjzaniek: Nothing to report.
Promotional – Cindy Natvig:
Junior Choir performed for the Memorial Day ceremony at the Alliant Center.
Found all neighborhood associations (11-12) in our target area; sent a version of promotional ads previously run to newsletters. Prices are very reasonable. Also running in June issue of Northside News.
Information – Donna Ziegler:
2007-08 Family Handbook – Jenny will handle.
Teacher Appreciation – Suzi Tate:
Consider doing an appreciation note at the end of every year similar to what was done for Mrs. Becker in the State Journal.
Teacher Appreciation luncheon at Damon’s went well.
Friday Lunchroom – LaVon Hettich: Nothing to report.
Non-Academic – Lorraine Modjeska, Tonia Mahke & Melanie Bartels: Nothing to report.
Yearbook – Jenny Patten & Barb Becker: Yearbook is done.
New Business: Discussed possible welcome gestures for new teacher.
