Principals Report:
Cleaning list is a low priority right now. PTO asked if teachers could let us know if we could do any classroom cleaning for them over Christmas break.
Mrs. Ibeling asked for math equipment for the 3rd and 4th grade classroom. Voted to give $60 for her to purchase the needed supplies.
Treasurers Report
A proposed budget was discussed. The adopted budget for the school year will be attached. The total proposed budget is $10,825. We currently have $11,126.37 in our checkbook.
New/Old Business
Library Shelving
$500 was donated to pay for the shelves.Library Books
$250 donation has come in to pay for some books. Notes will go home soon showing what books others may wish to donate money toward their purchase.Halloween Goody Bags

tentatively moved to March 28th. Discussed having proceeds from Trivia Night being split between Playground Equipment and Library Books. Diane will fill out paperwork needed to get Thrivent match. Donations for the Silent Auction portion and for door prizes are coming in. Discussed purchasing some Spirit Wear to be used as a door prize.Wish List

Fundraising
Kraft Foods Recycling program tabled until next meeting.
Wreath sales started 10/26, they will be delivered on 11/29 and available for pickup on 11/30. Our cost is $13.78 per wreath, we will sell them for $18 with proceeds going to the school library to purchase more books and Accelerated Reader quizzes. We will need to note in the church bulletin that no extra wreaths will be purchased and all orders must be prepaid.

Non-Academic
Nedra Griffin is joining this committee.
Jeff Modjeska will DJ for the rollerskating party on Thursday, October 30th, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Fast Forward. Cost is $2/child, inline skates extra.
Promotional
Magnets passed out for Trick-or-Treaters.
Christmas cards handmade by our school children will be sent out to prospets, college kids, and alumni.
Our Junior Choir will be singing at the State Capitol for their Veterans’ Day program on Nov. 11.
The Veteran’s Museum is looking for children to be models for marketing photos they need. There is a possibility our choir could stop at the museum after the Veterans’ Program and help them out. I am working on coordinating the details.
Our 5th – 8th graders participated in a writing contest called "The Patriot’s Pen" sponsored by the VFW. The students each wrote short essays on why veterans deserve to be honored. The 3 top entries will be sent on to compete at the city level.
Scrip
A signup sheet was passed around for volunteering to sell scrip on Sunday mornings between services.
Social Events
Notes will need to go out in next couple of News for You issues regarding the November Coffee Hour and Veterans’ Day. We will ask for pans of brownies and rice krispie bars for Veterans’ Day. Katie will ask Miss Krause for copies of the essays her students did on why we should thank our veterans. These will be hung in the cafeteria for the Veterans’ Day program.
Teacher Appreciation
Teacher Appreciation week is May 4th through the 9th. Suzi is compiling surveys she handed out to her teachers asking them what they would like to see or need from the PTO and their room parents.
